starelliptedsky asked: Wow I'm so glad I saw your post for the homemade mask and toner. I'm really at wits end about what to do with my persistent acne, to the point where I'm really considering going to see a dermatologist to see if I need to take something orally for it. The topical creams they prescribed me didn't do much good and burned my face at one point so I been looking to trying homemade solutions. What is your daily face routine and what other products do you use like for face wash and moisturizer?
Well my personal advice is to avoid the prescription medication. Prescription drugs usually come along with a whole list of side effects, which isn’t worth it for something that most likely isn’t going to be effective.
My face routine is washing my face once in the morning, and once at night. I use Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Cleanser. I usually either put on the oatmeal/cucumber mask I make, or the scrub mask, once a day for 4 or 5 days a week, along with the toner that I posted. Another thing I use occasionally when I break out is Aloe Vera from my Aloe plant, but you can use the bottled Aloe Vera they make for sun burns. It clears up breakouts very fast.
Home Made Face Scrub/Mask & Toner
I got the tutorial from a YouTube video and it’s been very helpful for me! I’ve always had really sensitive/irritated skin, and it has helped more than any other mask I’ve tried.
Here’s the video tutorial-

A combination of this, and my home-made mask have really cleared my skin a lot. That, and sunlight! :D

The media targets our insecurities, so we feel unmotivated to make the changes that are available for us to make ourselves. This is a mere marketing tool. The ideals they have created for beauty are ‘rare’ in terms of attaining those ideals; like being healthy and fit for example. If it were a part of a mass lifestyle to take care of ourselves, we would all naturally attain the appearance that reflects the act of taking care of ourselves. If it were normal, it wouldn’t be nearly as looked up to and desired as rarity is looked up to and desired. That set of ideals wouldn’t be able to be used to their advantage anymore, because everyone would naturally attain those ideals and would feel it absurd to consume the variety of ineffective products they advertise in association to them.
Silk - Soy Coffee Cream
It’s dairy-free, cholesterol-free, and there’s no saturated fat. It tastes great! And it eliminates the unnecessary use of dairy in your coffee.
It comes in 3 different flavors- original, french vanilla, and hazelnut. I personally like the french vanilla the best, I have it every morning! So far I’ve only found it at HEB and Kroger. I’m sure there will be plenty of other sources to get it from if you live in an area where health food is more widespread.
50 Jumping Jacks
:60 Jump Rope
30 Side-To-Side Jumps (every 2 jumps = 1 rep)
15 One Legged Side-To-Side Jumps (each leg, & every 2 jumps = 1 rep)
20 Jump Forward kick / Jump Backward kicks (each leg)
50 Butt-Kickers (every 2 = 1 rep)
50 Knee-Highs (every 2 = 1 rep)
Take 1 minute to regain breath
15 Calf Raises, Each Direction (forward, outward, & inward) (I used 2 5lb weights in each hand)
15 Inclined Push-Ups
:60 Plank
15 Push-Up to Side Planks
Cool down & stretch
Repeat as many times as you can.
I personally only did this twice in a row and it was enough for me.
Although next time I’m going to do it 3 times.
* NOTE - Only rest for that one minute that I put in there to catch your breath for the next set. If it’s too much for you, just modify the number of reps or split the minutes in half to 30 seconds… don’t take breaks other than that one minute if you really want a good workout out of this.
This one really made me sweat, and I usually have trouble with sweating.

Ina Drew helped make bank for JPMorgan Chase as the firm’s chief investment officer — until a blunder on her part cost the company roughly $2 billion. Drew resigned as CIO on Monday, but that’s not to say she is stepping down with nothing to show.
Despite being responsible for an in-house trading loss that totaled as much as $2.3 billion in losses for JPMorgan Chase, Drew stands to walk away from the Wall Street firm with a payout that could bring her as much as $15 million.
Drew’s departure from JPMorgan Chase was publicized early Monday, only days after she was named in a major economic goof-up that garnered criticism directed towards one of Wall Street’s most iconic institutions.

During a dangerous factory explosion that occurred in China, a monkey was recorded on the camera saving a puppy from the explosion site. He held the dog as he ran out of the factory.
